How this calculator works
It calculates your wall area and multiplies by about 7 bricks per square foot — the standard for modular bricks with a 3/8-inch mortar joint — then adds 5% for cuts and breakage.
Worked example — a 20 ft × 8 ft wall:
160 sq ft × 7 × 1.05 = 1,176 bricks.
160 sq ft × 7 × 1.05 = 1,176 bricks.
Single vs. double layer
This assumes a single-brick (veneer) face. A double-thickness structural wall needs roughly twice as many bricks.
