How this calculator works
It finds your room area, adds 10% for cuts and waste, then divides by the square footage each box of flooring covers (printed on the box label).
Worked example — a 12 ft × 10 ft room, 20 sq ft per box:
120 sq ft × 1.10 = 132 sq ft ÷ 20 = 7 boxes.
