How this calculator works

It calculates your bed or path area, adds 10% for overlapping seams and tucking edges, then divides by the square footage each roll covers — printed on the label.

Worked example — a 20 ft × 10 ft bed, 300 sq ft per roll:
200 sq ft × 1.10 = 220 sq ft ÷ 300 = 1 roll.

Why overlap matters

Overlap seams by at least 6 inches so weeds can’t push through gaps. Pin the fabric every 18–24 inches and tuck edges under edging or stones to hold them down.
